AI Headshot Pricing Study: 9 Packages Across 3 Providers (2026)

September 22, 2026By Morphed Research

Morphed's September 2026 pricing snapshot compares nine AI headshot packages: $39 median price and $0.65–$1.75 per included image. Charts, CSV and methodology.

The median advertised price was $39 across nine individual AI headshot packages from three providers. Prices ranged from $29 to $79. Dividing each package price by its included image count produced a range of $0.65 to $1.75 per generated image—a 2.69-fold difference within this sample.

Morphed collected the publicly displayed offers from HeadshotPro, Aragon and BetterPic on September 22, 2026, then calculated the comparisons below. This is a small, explicitly defined pricing snapshot. It does not estimate the entire market or measure image quality. Vendor sources appear at the end, with references beside every offer.

Chart 1: advertised package prices

HeadshotPro Basic had the lowest package price in this sample at $29. Aragon Basic and BetterPic Basic were both displayed at $35, but their included image counts differed: 40 and 20 respectively. A matching checkout price therefore does not imply matching output volume. Sources 1–3

Chart 2: price per included generated image

Price per included image ranged from $0.65 for BetterPic Pro to $1.75 for BetterPic Basic, without any quality adjustment.

BetterPic Pro's displayed $39 price divided by 60 images gives $0.65 per included image. BetterPic Basic's $35 divided by 20 gives $1.75. These were the lowest and highest unit prices in the nine-package sample. The same provider occupied both ends of that range, so the calculation is specific to a package rather than a provider-wide ranking. Source 3

The $4 increase from BetterPic Basic to Pro represented an 11.4% increase in package price for three times the included outputs. That is an observation about the displayed offer structure. It does not establish whether those extra images improve a customer's final selection.

Prices are displayed USD amounts for one person, observed September 22, 2026. Turnaround is the vendor's advertised generation time, converted to minutes; it was not measured. Per-image values are rounded to two decimal places for presentation.

Aragon showed a limited-time promotion; BetterPic displayed discounted prices alongside higher crossed-out amounts. We recorded the displayed offer prices, rather than the crossed-out prices. HeadshotPro's three prices were recorded as listed. Offers can change after this observation date.

Methodology and limits

Selection. We chose three dedicated headshot providers with public pricing pages showing a price and a fixed included image count for individual packages. We recorded all three visible individual tiers from each provider. This convenience sample was not selected randomly and is not a census of AI headshot services. Team offers, subscriptions, custom quotes and usage-credit products are outside its scope.

Collection. We read the official pricing pages linked below on September 22, 2026, using the Asia/Karachi calendar date. Each row preserves the provider, plan, displayed USD price, included output count, advertised minutes, price status, observation date and source URL. Prices were observed on public pages; no order was placed. We did not standardize checkout taxes, regional offers, coupons, edit allowances, licensing, refunds or optional add-ons.

Calculations. Price per included image equals package price divided by the advertised image count. The package-price median is the fifth value after sorting all nine prices; each package receives equal weight. The unit-price spread is the highest unrounded price per image divided by the lowest. We round displayed per-image amounts to cents and the spread to two decimal places. Download the calculated summary (JSON) or the Python reproduction script to inspect or repeat the calculations and recreate both charts from the frozen CSV.

Interpretation. A generated image is not automatically a usable headshot. We did not buy packages, upload portraits, measure delivery times, score likeness or count usable results. More included outputs and a lower unit price do not establish better quality or better value for a particular person. The $39 median describes these nine observed packages, not typical customer spending or an industry-wide average.

Publisher disclosure. Morphed offers AI image-generation tools, including headshot creation. Morphed is not included in this fixed-package sample because its usage-credit product falls outside the study's selection rule. This study does not test or rank Morphed against the sampled providers.

Versioning. This is the September 22, 2026 edition. Its downloadable dataset is dated so that citations can refer to the same observations even if live offers change. Future editions should retain this edition's files and identify their new collection dates.
