AI Ethics & Safety

Our commitment to responsible AI

At Morphed, we believe AI should empower human creativity, not replace it. Our tools are designed to amplify what people can create while respecting individual rights, safety, and dignity. Ethics and safety are core to how we build, deploy, and operate our platform.

1. Consent & Individual Rights

We respect every individual's right to their own image and likeness:

1.1. Likeness and Identity

  • Our AI headshot and portrait features require users to upload photos of themselves or have explicit consent from the individual depicted
  • We do not allow generating images of public figures, celebrities, or other individuals without their consent
  • Users can request removal of any generated content containing their likeness

1.2. User Control

  • You decide how your uploads and generated content are used
  • We do not use your personal uploads or generated content to train AI models without your explicit consent
  • You can delete your data at any time from your account settings

2. Content Safety & Moderation

We maintain robust safeguards to prevent harmful content:

2.1. Automated Safety Systems

  • All prompts are screened by safety classifiers before generation begins
  • Generated outputs are checked for prohibited content categories
  • NSFW content is blocked by default with no option to disable safety filters

2.2. Human Oversight

  • Flagged content is reviewed by our Trust & Safety team
  • We continuously improve our moderation based on real-world findings
  • Users can report problematic content at any time

2.3. What We Block

Our systems are designed to prevent the generation of:

  • Child sexual abuse material (CSAM) or any exploitation of minors
  • Non-consensual intimate imagery of real people
  • Content promoting terrorism, extremism, or organized violence
  • Hate speech and content targeting protected groups
  • Disinformation designed to deceive the public on matters of safety or elections

For a complete list of prohibited content and uses, see our Acceptable Use Policy.

3. Transparency

3.1. AI-Generated Content Identification

We support the responsible identification of AI-generated content. We embed provenance metadata in generated content where technically feasible and encourage users to disclose the AI-generated nature of content when required by law or context.

3.2. Model Sourcing

We use a combination of proprietary and third-party AI models. We select model providers based on their safety practices, output quality, and alignment with our ethical standards.

4. Data Ethics

  • No Selling of Data: We do not sell your personal data or generated content to third parties
  • Minimal Data Collection: We collect only the data necessary to provide and improve our Services
  • Data Deletion: Uploaded images are processed temporarily and deleted from processing systems within 24 hours. Generated content is stored in your account until you choose to delete it
  • No Surveillance: We do not use our technology for mass surveillance, social scoring, or discriminatory profiling

5. Bias & Fairness

We acknowledge that AI systems can reflect and amplify biases present in training data. We are committed to:

  • Monitoring our outputs for patterns of bias across gender, race, ethnicity, and other characteristics
  • Working with model providers to address identified biases
  • Providing users with diverse and representative generation options
  • Welcoming user feedback on biased or unfair outputs

6. Environmental Responsibility

AI workloads consume significant compute resources. We aim to minimize our environmental impact by optimizing inference efficiency, selecting providers with strong sustainability commitments, and continually improving our resource usage per generation.

7. Industry Collaboration

Responsible AI development is a collective effort. We engage with the broader AI community on best practices, participate in discussions on AI safety and regulation, and stay informed about evolving standards for generative AI ethics.
